Accessibility Statement

Updated October 14, 2026

We want everyone to be able to find our music, sign up for news and get to the songs, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, magnification, captions or other assistive technology. Our goal is for wakethegods.net to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we have done

• Checked text and button colors against WCAG AA contrast requirements.
• Made every link, button and the signup form reachable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
• Added a pause control to the release countdown.
• Turned off animations and hover effects for people who set their device to reduce motion.
• Given meaningful images a text alternative and hidden purely decorative ones from screen readers.
• Used headings in a logical order and labeled the signup form field.
• Told screen reader users when a link opens in a new tab.
• Built pages to work on small screens and when zoomed up to 400 percent.
• Tested pages with automated tools (axe and Accessibility Checker) and by hand with a keyboard.

Known limitations

• Signup form: our email form is provided by HubSpot inside an embedded frame. We have set its colors, labels and text, but some parts of it are controlled by HubSpot.
• Spam check: the signup form uses Google reCAPTCHA. If it blocks you, tell us through our contact form and we will add you to the list ourselves.
• Pre-save and streaming pages: pre-save links go to DistroKid and to streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music. Those sites are run by other companies.
• New pages: the full site is still being built. We review each page for accessibility before it goes public.
